How Telegram CDN Media Streaming Works

Telegram stores media distributed across 5 global Data Centers (DC1 through DC5). Large files (up to 4 GB) are divided into 512 KB chunks. When you request a download:

Our engine resolves the message access hash using Telegram's MTProto RPC protocol.
We negotiate parallel streaming connections directly with the appropriate Telegram Data Center.
Chunks are piped directly to your HTTP client response stream, enabling byte-range seeking, paused resumes, and high-speed multi-part downloads in IDM or Aria2.
